2025 started nice and slow. After the craziness of Fall Sessions and the Christmas Mini rush, a slow start to 2025 was very much welcomed. We spent the last days of 2024 in Nevada and Arizona exploring the thrills of Vegas, the Hoover Dam, Mountains and Cactuses (cacti?) of Arizona, visiting the Grand Canyon, and hiking in Sedona. Shortly after the new year, I got the opportunity to travel to this gorgeous home right on the Lake of the Ozarks to photograph a new addition to this adorable family.
We started the newborn session with detail photos of their sweet baby in a Moses basket with neutral wraps and blankest that I brought along from my Client Closet. They wanted a cozy at home vibe for their newborn session and Lainy sent me some inspo photos that I just knew where to get the style of outfits that she was searching for. The baby’s outfits are created by Hank Knitwear and they provide the most timeless, heirloom-style outfits for newborn photos.
Their home brought all the cozy vibes with a neutral palette and big windows for natural light, we were able to use a few different areas of their home. They even had a little basinet which was the perfect addition to lay their baby in and allow her to snuggle up to her stuffie.
Ending the newborn session with some family photos allowed for the perfect mixture of memories that they want to remember from this stage in life that goes so quickly. Snuggling up to their newborn baby just makes for the perfect in-home newborn session.
